Apply
To apply solutions, solvents, water or other liquids, use a perfectly clean white
paper towel (not printed). Dip it in the solution and dampen the surface to be cleaned.
Never soak through the carpet backing.
Blot
Press straight down, with a clean white paper towel. Never rub, for rubbing alters
the carpet texture. For the final blotting step, make a ½" thick pad of clean white
paper towels and place it on the spot you have cleaned. Place a weight (e.g. a few
heavy books) on top of it, to soak up the moisture. Leave it overnight. This is
the best way to soak up all traces of liquids and foreign materials.
Scrape
Gently scoop or scrape with the blunt edge of the spoon from the outside edge of
the spot toward the centre.
